RESOLVED - Windows Update and .net Framework 3.5 stuck in an error-loop (0x800F0922)

Hi,

I've read articles suggesting that I should enable .net Framework 3.5 for Windows Update to work, but it can't install as Windows Update doesn't work, because I don't have .net F 3.5 enabled.

Lovely loop, did a reset on my device, hoping that it would fix the issue in some way - it did not.

Device data, error codes and everything else can be found in the screenshots attached.

Thanks for you support.

Try open start and search for cmd or Command prompt and right click and run it as administrator and then type the following command:

    sfc /scannow

Press enter and let it runs.
Try disable or uninstall the .NET and restart your PC and see if the problem persist?

Type Windows Features on the search bar and press Enter.
Select Turn Windows Features on or off.
Check any boxes related to DotNet Framework and save selection.
    Restart your PC.

Also turn off Firewall and recheck the issue.

    Problem resolved!

Had to download .Net Framework 3.5 from Microsoft's website instead of via the Optional Features app.

After Windows failed, I rebooted the computer and the installation was successful.

    Windows Update works properly now.
