SFTP Enabled Azure Storage: How to assign a static public IP?

How can we assign a static public IP to the SFTP enabled storage? We currently connect using a the blob storage name, but we have clients that need to allow/add the public IP to their firewall.

Azure SFTP doesn’t have its own IP address. It’s IP is the same as that of the blob storage endpoint so SFTP cannot control that.

Can we assign a static public IP to the blob storage? How?

The reason is that there are parties that will need to add/allow the IP in their firewall before they can connect to the Azure SFTP.

@Mike P Is the IP of the blob storage endpoint a static IP? Is it visible to us? IP should be available via a ping to the endpoint. I don’t think it’s static.
