Windows Virtual Desktop with M365 Bussiness premium

Hi,

I'm trying to use WVD with my M365 Bussiness Premium but I can't seem to get it activated.
I keeps saying I need a subscription to Azure, but I already own bussiness premium which should include WVD.

Can anyone tell me why I am unable to select a resource (when trying to create a pool for WVD)?

If you are looking at the below highlighted Azure Virtual Desktop under Microsoft 365 Business Premium plan, it means that you can license your azure virtual desktops using Microsoft 365 Business Premium account, but still you would need an azure subscription seperately in order to create the AVDs. Please refer to Azure Virtual Desktop Overview

Thank you @Prrudram-MSFT for the information so far.

I still have problems when trying to access additional information on this subject. Mostly due to an Error when trying to visit sites like: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/virtual-desktop/
All I see is a time-out error and this goes for anything under the domain azure.microsoft.com

I hope you or someone else can help out with that because I don't think I'll get much further without access to that resource.

Hello,

IIf I understood your answer correctly, even though I will pay for this functionality (VDI) by buying M365 Business Premium subscriptions, I will also have to incur costs for using the Azure subscription and the AVD infrastructure running on it? What is the advantage of purchasing the M365 Bussiness Premium license in the context of VDI in relation to e.g. m365 Bussiness Standard, when the cost of AVD infrastructure on the Azure side will be the same? I thought that when I buy M365 Bussiness Premium, I will no longer have to pay for Azure AVD

Hi Douglas,

You have 2 parts of costs for AVD:

Users > licence cost like M365 Business Premium

Infra: the session hosts, storage, networking. for this you need an Azure Subscription.
