WebView2 evergreen runtime compatibility issue

Microsoft recommended to use WebView2 runtime But, suggested to run compatibility test regularly when using ever green.
My question, When we go with ever green runtime in released application. When I do compatibility test regularly then what is the use? If any compatibility issues then ideally I need to fix it and re-release the product.

Can you please guide me, How ever green runtime will run successfully if we have any compatibility issues and how can we resolve the issue if the compatibility issues at customer site?
