Hi

I have migrated my HyperV VM (Windows server 2012 R2 and this is file server) to Microsoft Azure with Azure migration tool. After migration, I am getting issue below.

Virtual machine agent status is not ready.

I am not able to take RDP for this virtual machine. Please help me to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thanks

Hi @HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR ,

you can download and install the VM Agent manually on the VM: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/extensions/agent-windows#manual-installation

How do you want to connect to the Azure VM? via VPN-Connection or public IP?
Do you have Network Security Groups associated with the subnet or the VM? If so please verify you have a Security Rule that allows Inbound 3389.

Hi @HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR ,

have you added a public IP to the VM?
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/ip-services/associate-public-ip-address-vm

After you added the public IP to the VM you should see the public IP in the VM Overview.

    Hi,

you can download and install the VM Agent manually on the VM: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/extensions/agent-windows#manual-installation

Installation should be on Azure VM? If yes then how? I am not able to access it.

I want to access it with RDP.

Hi @HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR ,

your Azure VM is showing the Public IP address in the overview?

Which error message do you get if you try to connect to the public IP of the Azure VM via RDP?
