Dear All,

We have a Azure Virtual Desktop Test infra in Production domain and Network.

We have a requirement to print some files from AVD to Network Printer on-Premise.

Access workflow

Windows 10 PC (XYZ domain and Network) --> Web Browser --> Azure Virtual Desktop Session Host (ABC domain and Network)

Q1: Can I make printings to the XYZ domain Network printer from Azure Virtual Desktop directly

Q2: Assume the XYZ Network printer is connected to the Windows 10 PC (on-prem), Can I print the files from Azure Virtual Desktop session host to the Network Printer?

Note: Basically Im trying to understand the feasibility of accessing the Network printer to print my files from AVD.

The web client only supports "PDF print" so you would not be able to redirect your locally connected printers. For this you would need to be connecting via the Windows AVD client - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/remote-desktop-app-compare#other-redirection-devices-etc

To print to a network printer you will need to have access to that printer from the Azure virtual desktop session host. This can be provided by a network connection such as a VPN tunnel between your Azure virtual network and your on-premises network or else you can publish your on-premises printers as "cloud printers" using the Microsoft Universal Print service.
