Convert Office LTSC Standard 2021 to SPLA without reinstall

Question

Hello everybody,

is there a way to convert a Office LTSC Standard 2021 installation to a SPLA version?

While the first installation, the xml configuration file had the following line: <Product ID="Standard2021Volume" ... >

I want to convert this to <Product ID="StandardSPLA2021Volume" ... > wihtout reinstall the Office.

Maybe someone know any solution?

You can use /Remove element in ODT to help you remove Office producet when deploy new Office application.

Hey @Emi Zhang-MSFT ,

thanks for the answer, but this isn't the solution I was looking for.

By now, my way to solve the problem was:

• run the installation .exe with the xml configuration file again
• let the installation run in online mode
• after that procedure I was able to register the SPLA license key
• the only thing left was to remove the old kms key, for this I'm using the ospp.vbs tool:
