I keep getting an error message

New user. The above table set it up as a date table when I try to add another column using =Year(Date)

I get the following error and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I tried Date[Date] and I get and error message also.

"Calculation error in measure 'Date'[Year]: The expression refers to multiple columns. Multiple columns cannot be converted to a scalar value."
