Some users have stated if SNMP was enabled on the printer port Windows incorrectly reports the printer status . If you're not specifically using SNMP, you can disable it in the "Configure Port" settings for the Printer's TCP/IP port. By default, newer printers must support the WSD protocol and automagically create a WSD port rather than a Standard TCP/IP Port when add port is called on the TCP/IP address.
It's always a good practice to delete any ports that are not used.
