Azure Billing account with debit card is not working.

Hi,

When I try to add my debit card to my azure account, it not accepting it. It shows "check the info you entered. it doesn't match the info for this card" even though all the details are correct. I use that card regularly.

Can't we use debit card for azure account?

I have the same issue but with a debit card from M & T Bank in the US. Ironically, MS always accepted the card. Recently I got a new debit card with a different number and went into my account to change to the new card. Here was my response for at least 10 times: "check the info you entered. it doesn't match the info for this card" What's interesting is 6 other large companies, one being Amazon, accepting the card with zero glitch?? The moment I added an Am Ex rather than the debit, BINGO, it accepted it??? What is that?

In Azure, note the following:
Virtual or prepaid credit cards aren't accepted as payment for Azure subscriptions.
Debit cards aren't accepted as payment for Azure subscriptions in Brazil and Hongkong regions.

If you are a student, you can sign up an account without credit card.

If Debit Cards are not supporting on Azure then why you mentioned it everywhere. I signed up with debit card and after few days I brought a subscription but now I am not able to pay bill. Please mention clearly and set proper validations on sign up page. I was able to sign up using debit card and subscription was started with debit card. Now, how I can pay my bill because I have only debit cards?

Credit cards are accepted, and debit cards are accepted by most countries or regions. However, Hong Kong and Brazil only support credit cards.

Thanks for information, I sent email to above mentioned email address and also got reply.
They offer me a free support ticket, I created it on Azure Portal and share reference number over email for their reference. Hopefully it will resolve my issue with debit cards.

Hi Team MS,

I am from India. And I have been trying to get free tier subscription for my new account but it saying as debit card info given is incorrect though I have given it correctly using multiple debit cards.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue. I don't have a subscription ID to give.

Im also encountering the same payment issue. I have international transaction option enabled. but still it says"Check with your bank. Your bank couldnt authorize this payment method".
