The main reson for error 0x904 it is an unstable network connection (not enough bandwidth, packages lost, encryption cyphers...)
I would suggest the next course of action:
- Check your antivirus or firewall, bth on source and destination and allow RDP.EXE as exception.
- Try accessing through IP rather than hostname or FQDN to know if there might be a DNS issue
- Download the latest RDP client app from Microsoft Store
- Ensure that both the server and the client have installed the latest Windows Updates
