FSlogix AppData and Roaming Profile

Hi There,

We are trying to implement FSLogix at our site. We had already done so successfully in a new environment where there was no need to migrate existing profiles.
We are now attempting to do so in an existing environment.

The issue is getting the roaming profiles of our users into the VHDX file. I had downloaded the FSLogix migration pack and attempted to use the Convert-RoamingProfile function but it finds no eligible profiles whatsoever and if we create our own VHDX File using the frx.exe tool with the option of copy-profile/moveto-vhd the local and roaming profile will go into the VHDX file. But when we run %APPDATA% it still points towards the original roaming profile location as was configured in the AD for our user, but does not point to the content of the VHDX file. As a result, when the user logs on , pinned items to the taskbar are no longer useable, they are without icon and if you select them an error is returned and if you hit yes, it deletes the pinned icon. Similarly our folders/files pinned to the explorer quick start will no longer be available even though we did copy the AutomaticDestinations and CustomDestinations in the recent folder of APPDATA.

Again, using the frx.exe the VHD file is seemingly created okay, the data is seemingly copied okay, but it seems like for some reason it does not use the VHDX as the actual profile.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Dimitri.
