Server upgrade for HyperV cluster

Hello.

I am looking for the least painful way to get our Hyper-V cluster updated. It is currently running Server 2012 Data Center. I know that I can take each host in the cluster, remove it, wipe it, install 2019, configure all of the physical and virtual NICs etc, rejoin the cluster then do the same to the next one (but I understand automatic migration will not work between different server versions so really no failover) but I'm hoping there is a better way. The virtual NIC's, physical settings etc all exist already. Can that info be exported for lack of a better term and then imported back to avoid the manual process?

Thanks.
