sharepoint office 365 - cascading menu selections - lookup type in list missing

Question

I'm trying to follow cascading drop down lists sp. A step involves adding a lookup column to a list. When I try to add a second column of type lookup (referring to where it's looking up), that is not available. How do I add a column to my list of type lookup? I need to create cascading menus. When I add a column to my list, the choices are single line of text, mult lines of text, choice, number, currency, and date/time. In the link, they seem to have a lookup type there. This is 365/sharepoint.
