Unable to click anything when giving control on Microsoft Teams :(

I have Microsoft Teams on Mac. I am a tutor, so I frequently share my screen with my students for an engaging experience. But when I share my screen and give control, I cannot click on anything on my screen. It's not the issue where, both users are simultaneously clicking something - no - I literally do not have any control on my computer when another user has control. I have a year 2 student who keeps clicking on Siri, and I can't even click cancel control!!
In the past, I had no problem, I could click and type along with my students when giving control.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I am not sure of any troubleshooting steps I should take. Please advise me.

In the past, I had no problem, I could click and type along with my students when giving control.
Have you changed any Teams related settings right before the issue started?
Please click the "···" at the upper right corner, choose "Settings" > General, make sure the checkbox of "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" is NOT selected:
