ADF Release Pipeline- Deployment failed CD

Hi

I am using the DeployAzureResourceGroup task and have a parameter in my deployment template of type securestring for a ls_connectionString. I have set this as a variable with the 'secret' box checked, and other way I'm done with Azure Keyvault still not getting error

When running the deployment, it fails with
Error: Cannot bind parameter 'ls_connectionString'. Cannot convert the "" value of type "System.String" to type "System.Security.SecureString".

For understanding the ask better, we would require some more information from you.

I tried to repro your scenario, but didn't find any task called 'DeployAzureResourceGroup' in the release pipeline . Are you using 'ARM template deployment' task to achieve the requirement?

Also you mentioned that you have a parameter of type SecureString . As per my understanding , there is only parameter name and value in the template parameter json file and not the type of the parameter. Could you please share more insights on that by providing screenshot so that we can reproduce the issue you are facing.

I followed above steps after I created new release pipeline.
