Teams Guest Access

Hello Teams Support,

Greetings!

I have a question regarding guest permissions in Microsoft Teams.

We have created a specific team for collaboration with individuals outside of our organization.

We noticed that guest accounts lack access to many of the features needed for our collaboration. We need our guests to be able to access the calendar, book meetings, record meetings, access the meeting comments and attendee lists.

Is there a way to allow guests these permissions and can these permissions be applied to a certain team and not the whole organization?

Best regards

Guests have limited access to your team. You can find the difference between guest and team member capabilities from the below link.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-experience

Some of the guest permissions can be controlled by you. see the following URL to see those permissions

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/edit-guests-information

    Hope this helps

    Hi @IBN

We need our guests to be able to access the calendar, book meetings, record meetings, access the meeting comments and attendee lists.

The guest experience has limitations by design. These permission is not available for guest users. the following link shows the permissions for guest users for your reference:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-experience#comparison-of-team-member-and-guest-capabilities

Can these permissions be applied to a certain team and not the whole organization?

What is your meaning of certain Teams? Do you mean channels in Team?

If so, Team owners can set guest permissions for channels. To set guest permissions, you could find the step from this article.
