This operation requires an interactive window station" When installing print drivers

I work for an MSP and this last week on at least 5 different computers we have received this error when trying to download print drivers. I was wondering if there was an update out causing this issue? We have found a couple of old forms from 2015-2016 on how to supposedly fix the issue but nothing has worked. We have booted into windows safe mode, ran sfc checks, ran disk checks and repairs, and went into system 32 drivers and gave permissions on all of the computers but nothing seems to work.

(all of the workstations have been updated), (antivirus uninstalled as well while we worked on the stations)

We would like for our last resort to be reimaging them but before that I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix or has run into this issue before?

is there a way we can get a real answer to this issue? i'm getting this error message when trying to install a Qlogic NIC driver on a fresh windows 11 install.

This is clearly related to the patches for the PrintNightmare vulnerability since last year: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5005652-manage-new-point-and-print-default-driver-installation-behavior-cve-2021-34481-873642bf-2634-49c5-a23b-6d8e9a302872

The reason if the error is that since the patches, Administrator rights are required to access, download or update printer drivers. This will requiere an interactive window to introduce and validate necessary credentials and permissions.

In the same article posted above you have a workaround on how to change this behavior.
