We're running windows server 2016 for WSUS for instllaing the updates and we've almost 2000 systems to patch.
the is we're facing the WSUS server is only using network adapter to send updates up to 5 Mbps, the server is not sending updates more than 5 Mbps. I've tried to find on OS level and other settings as well but don't know from where this limit is being appliyin, I've also checked the same from my network team. AV is not installed on server.
From some client event logs, i've found this error "h server (0x8024401c)".
I've gone throughfrom serval links like this but didn't work for me.

Try putting it into Foreground priority mode

I agree with @Adam J. Marshall and thanks for AJTek-Adam-J-Marshall helpful answer. Please try to follow the answer and switch to the Foreground Priority Mode in the WSUS server and confirm whether the issue will be resolved.
In addition, please share the registry value of the following path on the WSUS clients and I will do more research if the issue haven't been resolved by following the above answer. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

I've tried the suggested methods but didn't work for me, registry settings are shwoing WSUS settings.
I just notice today BITS service is stopped, when I start the service, it is again getting stopped. Should it always start?
I've followed bundle of articles but nothing worked for me.

Would you mind sharing the windows update log in the windows client for reference? I will do more research in my lab. We could open the PowerShell as an administrator and run the get-windowsupdatelog to get the log file. Note that the log file will be placed into the desktop.

I have reviewed the case detail of your first post one more time. Please help to confirm how did you check the network adapter to send updates up to 5 Mbps. It will be better if you could provide a screenshot for reference. I total agree that it is difficult for the clients to download the approved Binary update files if the network adapter to send updates up to 5 Mbps.

I am seeing the usage of the WSUS adapter from the task manager that is being used only 5 MB for giving updates.
