How long does it take for policies to be updated on Azure Information Protection?

Hello, I've heard some rumors that it takes a whole day for new policies to be applied on Azure Information Protection, and am wondering whether this is true. How long does it take for policies to be updated and rolled out? Is there any limit to how often the settings can be changed? Thanks!

    It can take a while, yes. You can monitor the progress by checking the DistributionStatus/DistrubutionResults values in the portal or via PowerShell: 

    Get-LabelPolicy | ft Name, Distri*
