This is now the second report I've seen related to this and I'd like to better understand what you are seeing because I'm not able to reproduce this on my end. How long have you been seeing this?

I'm including some troubleshooting below:

What do you do if you have subscription loading or sign-in issues in the Azure portal?

Refresh the page

Try using a different browser

Use private browsing

Clear the cache and delete Internet cookies

Verify that the correct Azure directory is selected (Gear icon at the top > Directories + Subscriptions)

Verify that your account is added as an Owner

I'll include updates as I know more on the following thread:

For now, it appears that multiple people are running into an issue where the subscription dropdown fails to update which prevents them from creating VMs using the portal. This seems to be affecting specific individuals (as I'm not able to reproduce the issue), but the regions appear to be varied.

There was an outage that may have caused this that should be resolved at this time. We are continuing to monitor this.

Hello all!

Having the same bahaviour here with a brand new student free tier account recently created(Today). The subscription dropdown menu won't load and that prevent to creating virtual machines.

I've tried the creation through Azure CLI but not successful either, got the error below

Thank you for providing additional information. It appears many of the people running into this are using free accounts. I'm working with the product group to pinpoint the issue. If you can provide your Session ID, that will help us track this down faster.

Try filling out every other field on the page first. I had this issue as well. I noticed that the admin username and password fields were red after i filled them out it worked; i was able to select the VM image.
However, the deployment still failed as soon as I hit create.
