Help with NFS Client error: "Failed to connect to NFS WMI provider"

I'm having problems with NFS sharing. I'm running haneWIN NFS Server on my Win 10 64 Pro box, which I use as a media server, and the Microsoft NFS Client. In trying to troubleshoot these issues, I'm trying very basic commands on my other main Win 10 64 Pro machine (which until a few days ago was working fine). Here an example using the standard cmd shell (not PowerShell):

CMD> nfsadmin client \192.168.10.104\
Reply: Failed to connect to NFS WMI provider

Can anyone help me understand that? Or perhaps a fix?

Thanks!

    Hi there,

If you get the ‘Failed to connect to NFS WMI provider’ error, it can be due to the removal of the WMI provider due to the installation of SQL Server or the permissions of a key in the Windows Registry.

In some scenarios, the issue occurs if only the administrator account has full permissions over a Windows Registry key and the Network Service account is restricted.

-Press Windows Key + R to open Run.
-Type in ‘services.msc’ and press Enter.
-Search for the Windows Management Instrumentation service.
-Right-click on it and select Restart and then restart the PC and see if this helps.
