Restricting the use of Export to Excel button in SharePoint list to a specific group of people

We have created a list for leave requests and used power automate to restrict the view of the list items to just the requester. I thought all was well until I did an export to excel for reporting purposes.

The resulting excel spreadsheet that is downloaded has all of the leave requests on it even though the person exporting the list doesn't have access to the items. That wouldn't be good with people possibly entering in personal details maybe not thinking about it.

Is there a way to hide the export to excel button from everyone except a small group of people?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    @TracyLHall ,

    As far as I know, Custom Permission Level without Client Integration Features can not use the export function:

    So we suggest you grant Everyone group custom permission level without Client Integration Features, and give a small group of people normal edit permission to specific list:
