Locked out of outlook account

When I try to sign into my hotmail account (an @Microsoft Corporation .co.uk address) I get the following message:
Your account has been locked
We’ve detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

It then asks for my phone number and I get the message:
Usage limit exceeded. Try again tomorrow.
I have received this every day since Friday last week.

I have no way to contact support or anything like that. I've tried using a different phone number (following an online recommendation) and I got the same message.

I have some really important emails in that account, like communication with my mortgage advisor and solicitor, and a survey on the house I just bought, not to mention all the personal correspondences I have no backup of. How can I get access back to my account?

You can try a different phone number to Unblock and Recover a blocked or suspended Outlook, Hotmail, and Microsoft account, or just follow the steps in this guide.
