We have an Active Directory hybrid setup, we are planning to AD implementation for MacBooks, and need some technical information on the same along with license cost involved for the same.

    Hi @Nitten ,

This is tagged with "Azure Active Directory", but your thread mentions regular Active Directory. Are you looking to configure your Mac to access user information in a local Active Directory, or are you hoping to have the full hybrid setup with your devices joined to Azure AD?

If you want to access Active Directory account information, you can go to Apple's Directory Utility under System Preferences > Users and Groups > Active Directory Connector. The Active Directory connector allows the Mac to access basic account information on a Windows server running Windows 2000 or later.

It is not possible to join a Mac device to Azure AD. But it is possible is to enroll your devices using Intune, which might be the best option for your scenario.

To enroll a personal device in Intune: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-your-device-in-intune-macos-cp
To enroll a company device in Intune: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-company-device-macos

If you have further questions about the Mac side of things I would recommend reaching out on the Apple support forum. https://discussions.apple.com/welcome

Let me know if this helps.
