Clustering an existing SQL server 2018 instance without disruption - possible?

Is it possible to set up AlwaysOn clustering on an existing SQL server installation without a service break?

The database in question is SQL Server 2018 SP1 (AlwaysOn BAG).

    If you setup the cluster role for a Windows server, then a restart is required; so no, it's not possible.
    Anyway, changing an existing SQL Server into a cluster is also not possible; you have to setup Windows cluster before you install SQL Server.
