While trying to perform ASR replication of an Azure VM from a Source Subscription to Target Subscription, we are facing the below issue. Kindly help.

Error ID: 90068
Error Message: One or more disks specified ({1224235941}) are not present on the Azure virtual machine XXVMNAMEXX.
Possible causes: One or more disks might have been detached or are offline on the Azure virtual machine XXVMNAMEXX.

Recommendation: Try to get the disks to online or attach back the disks to the Azure virtual machine. Reprotect will fail if any of the disks that were failed over to Azure are detached from the virtual machine.

Is it related to "temp drive D:/"and should be excluded while initiating the replication? If yes, post failover how will the "temp drive D:/" get created at Target Azure VM? Please clarify.

@KK1969 Thank you for contacting us!

I understand that you are trying to enable Azure VM replication across subscription and blocked with disk failure errors.

Replication of Azure VMs from one subscription another is supported only when source and target subscription are part of same Azure Active Directory Tenant.

Also, check if your subscription has permissions to create resources in the target region.

Temp disks are excluded by default. See the exclusion list - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/exclude-disks-replication#exclude-limitations

A temporary drive is created by Azure compute platform for temporary storage. This is created for any VM created on Azure (VM creation experience below) not specific to ASR.

    Suggestions to try:

    • Reboot source VM and then try replication
    • Disable replication and then re-enable replication
    • Disable replication, reboot source VM and re=enable replication

If problem persist, contact Azure technical support team by raising a support request.
