I wanted to analyze the problem mentioned above. But ... if procmon is running it does not occur! If I stop ProcMon, the menu again takes minutes to show up. So ... I can learn what causes the issue?

best Regards
HM

PS: Sorry that the Tags are bs. But "explorer" was not an option

    Hello,

Suggest you to run System File Checker scan:

    1. Search for 'command prompt' using Cortana or Windows Search.
    2. From results, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
    3. Type sfc /scannow command and press Enter key.
    4. Let the command complete and then reboot the machine.

If issue still persists, perform clean boot:

Hi everyone! Thank you for the respondses. I tried all of that. Still the problem is: sometime the context menu comes up quickly and some times it takes almost a minute. So I am still investigating. Even the observation, that procmon enables a quick context menu is not reliable. :( very difficult problem.
    best regards

Have you checked the Shell Extensions with Autoruns ?
    (mainly in Explorer Tab)

    Hi @Schachigel

I am not sure of the procmon situation but the main cause of this issue may be a conflict between third-party apps and Windows shell extensions. It could also be caused by a corrupt third-party shell extension. Running too many PC programs at the same time could also affect File Explorer's speed.

You Can perform a clean boot to see which app is the culprit if you cannot find the source using procmon.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!
