How do I assign my Minecraft licenses included with Microsoft 365 to users?

I have a group set up in the Azure portal and have assigned all my M365 licenses (including Minecraft Education Edition), but when I have a test user sign into Minecraft it tells them they are on a trial basis. Is there somewhere else that I have to assign the licenses?

    Hi @HankH ,

The educommunity site has instructions for how to assign the licenses. This is done through the Microsoft store rather than through the Azure portal

An IT admin (or teacher with the right permissions) will need to assign licenses to appropriate teachers or students (via their Office 365 account or in bulk) through the Microsoft Store for Education.

Whether licenses are purchased as part of a larger Office 365 subscription or individually, licenses are still managed via the Microsoft Store for Education. Unless you have the new M365 unified sku (purchased in Jan 2019 or later) they can be assigned via admin center.

    1. To access your licenses, sign into the Microsoft Store for Education
    2. After you've signed in, select Manage from the top menu
    3. Select Products & Services from the left-hand menu
    4. Locate Minecraft: Education Edition from your list of products and services
