Hello @eg1995 ,
Please find the answers to your questions below:
Q: I have already a domain under godaddy because we cant buy from azure dns yet.
A: You are correct. You can't use Azure DNS to buy a domain name. The feature to buy domain names in Azure DNS is tracked in the Azure backlog. Use the below feedback site to register your support for this feature:

You can however, buy a domain name by using App Service domains with an annual fee. App Service domains support the following top-level domains: com, net, co.uk, org, nl, in, biz, org.uk, and co.in. App Service Domains use GoDaddy for domain registration and Azure DNS to host the domains. In addition to the yearly domain registration fee, usage charges for Azure DNS apply.

Q: Is there any way to migrate the domain to azure? I was checking that I can manage the domain records in azure dns after adding NS records to godaddy.
A: Transferring of domain into Azure is currently NOT supported. Any attempts made to transfer the domain into Azure risks getting the domain into a broken state. We will not be providing support to fix domains caught in this broken state due to unsupported transfer in scenario.

You can delegate your domain to Azure DNS by creating a DNS zone in Azure DNS and adding it's NS records to GoDaddy, where you own the domain. This will allow you to host a DNS zone and manage the DNS records for your domain in Azure.
Refer : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/dns/dns-domain-delegation
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/dns/dns-delegate-domain-azure-dns
Q: Will this migration let me get rid of godaddy? Or I will have to pay for both godaddy for owning the domain and for azure dns for managing the records?
A: No, this delegation will not let you remove GoDaddy. GoDaddy will still remain the domain registrar and Azure DNS can be used to manage the DNS records for your domain in Azure. So, you will have to pay both GoDaddy for owning the domain and Azure dns for hosting the DNS zone.
Q: Regarding renewing the domain this will happen from godaddy side I assume, right?
A: Yes, to renew the domain registration, you need to do it from GoDaddy.
Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
