Error 2105-User Configuration Issue

Hi,

I have multiple ADF pipelines in multiple projects. These ADF pipelines call the AML pipelines and today I start receiving these errors:

Error 2105-User Configuration Issue
Convert Failed. The value type 'System.String', in key 'azureCloudType' is not expected type 'Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Models.AzureCloudType'

The linked services are working fine as the test connection works. There is no issue with AML, I rerun the published pipelines.

Can someone help please?

Thanks for reaching out and using MS Q&A platform.

My understanding is that your ADF pipelines that call AML pipelines started failing all of sudden, but they were working fine until yesterday. Please correct me if I'm not accurate.

As per the conversation with internal teams, product team identified a bug in Azure ML Activity with MSI Auth, due to recent change of introducing cloud type. In case if you are using MSI authentication, could you please try the below workaround and let you know how it goes?

Summary: ADF Azure ML activities using MSI authentication will face errors during execution.

Mitigation: Product team is working on a hotfix to roll out; in the meantime, impacted users can update from MSI authentication to Service Principal authentication to mitigate the issue.

Could you please try the above mitigation/workaround and let us know how it goes? In case if you are not using MSI authentication or if your scenario is different, could you please tell us what auth is being used? Appreciate if you could share the failed pipeline runID and failed activity runID for further investigation.
