Is it possible to do ShrePoint online configuration using CI/CD and DSC? if yes, please provide necessary documents and high level steps.

What you may explore as an alternative option, if you find somehow the interaction "limited", is to build a normal SharePoint platform on Azure VMs and install/configure the environment later on using classic PowerShell DSC

We have below scripts related to SharePoint online DSC configurations, I want to perform some small testing for SHarePoint online configuration using DSC, can u please give some example so that I can perform test.

Hi @sns ,

I don't know the source of your repository/DSC Modules so I cannot help much on that sense.

As M365DSC is mainly built and maintained from MSFT Engineer and MVPs I recommend to go with these approach instead

Here you have the full list of available cmdlets you can use for each service: https://github.com/microsoft/Microsoft365DSC/wiki/Resources-List

Concerning SPO you can for instance "play" by deploying new sites, property bag, new managed properties for search service etc...

For each cmdlet you can find related parameters that you can customize in your DSC script

As I said before, in case you find this limited, you can go with the 2nd approach and use the full available DSC cmdlets here: https://github.com/dsccommunity/SharePointDsc

Thank you for sharing the details and correct links, I will go through it.

I have attached some of the screenshots consist source code, i dont know the purpose of that code, but if u can understand something from that source code, can u please enlighten me what exactly they are trying to achieve so that I will be knowing from I should begin performing testing SPO config with DSC and CI/CD.

As far as I can see the DevOps Engineer tried to integrate DSC with Pester Framework. Pester is a unit testing framework for PowerShell to verify/validate your code (not directly related with DSC itself).

The only part for DSC is in the screenshot 2.

Line 8 - SPOSharingSettings -ConfigurationData .\config\ConfigurationData.psd1

The DevOps Engineer is pushing some configuration concerning the SPOSharingSettings - You have the cmdlets from my previous link

You have to check inside ConfigurationData.psd1 . The applicable settings are in there
