the last time i need intune enrolled windows devices to update to feature update 1909, i set feature update defer period to 0 and create windows 10 feature update to 1909.

recently my all devices get update to windows 10 version 2004 . i had no idea why because i didn't deploy it. anyone has the same problem?

You should open a support case. This preview feature has had a few hiccups.

Are you using co-managed devices? According to the docs and from what I have experienced the feature update (preview) is not applying immediately it takes time and leaves a window in which the client may upgrade to a later OS version...

    see also official docs here:

While Windows 10 feature updates remains in public preview, when co-managing devices with Configuration Manager and Intune, there is a limitation where feature update policies may not immediately take effect, causing devices to update to a later feature update than configured in Intune. This limitation will be removed with a future update to Configuration Manager.

From your description, I know the devices are updated to Windows 10 2004 although we configured the Feature update to 1909. The issue is a little strange. To troubleshoot this kind of issue, log analysis is necessary. Windows store for business update team may also needs to be involved to check the log. Here, we suggest to open a case to work on this.

    Thanks for the understanding.

I have this another way around - 1909 does not see 2004 at all, however I configure the update ring policies and Feature Update policy.

    Hi,

Did you get a response on this?
I have noticed a few of our devices have updated to 2004 and our rings are set to 1909.
