Offline files and folders to a new server

I lost a 2012 R2 server this week, it housed redirected documents and desktop folders for our users at this branch. Offline files and folders was enabled. Users have been working this week using their cached copies of their desktop and documents without issue. When I deploy this new server, and restore the data to it, and redirect everyone to their new location, how do I ensure that modified copies of their cached files will take precedent over the restored files in the new location?

    Hello @Ryan Wilderman

The synchronization of offline copies to redirected folders will always synchronize the last version modified, based on file timestamps.

Since restoring data to the storage will not modify this timestamps, next time that the user synchronizes it will overwrite with latest version.

Hope this helps with your query,
