Hyper V NIC SET with SR-IOV

I'm currently in the process of implementing a new Hyper V standalone server that is installed on Windows Server 2019. I'm hoping to implemented some form of HA with the aggregation of the links into the Hyper V box and the switches it will connected to. I was hoping to use LACP on the bare metal level of the Hyper V box to form a team of multiple NICs, and then attach the NIC team to a vSwitch where all the VMs can connect to. But I have found out that NIC teaming does not support the use of SR-IOV on VMs.

I understand Microsoft implemented NIC SET (Switch Embedded Teaming) and recommend this than the normal LACP NIC teaming. Does NIC SET support the use of SR-IOV on VMs?

    Hello @bencv09

As far as my understanding goes, there is no reference for the support ot SR-IOV over NIC SET, but it seems that previously another member of the community have deployed it succesfully as recorded here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/276626/windows-server-2016-hyper-v-sr-iov-guest-teaming-a.html

Hope this helps with your query,
