Linked services missing

Can anyone identify what's been missed? I have two SQL Server linked services

but when trying to associate a SQL Server dataset, I get no Linked Services - both exist within "live" mode so believe they are published

What else needs to be done to access the linked service?

Hi,

Did you install the self-hosted integration runtime first.

The Microsoft Integration Runtime is a customer managed data integration and scanning infrastructure used by Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Purview to provide data integration and scanning capabilities across different network environments.

Only one of them was configured to use SHIR (which was to a pre-existing SHIR), the other was attempting to access SQL Server in Azure... however, refreshing the window for Synapse brought them both up... get the impression Synapse does a lot of caching even though I'm pretty sure at least one of the SQL Server linked services existed prior to last refresh (but always possible it didn't)

Well.... the bottom line as I understand is that the issue was solved :-)

You can close the thread and if such issue happen again then we can start a new discussion and examine the scenario
