How to update existing CASE-SENSITIVE email address to be lowercase only?

For some reason my exchange email address was created with uppercase letters. Is there a way to make it lowercase without deleting the account? There are all sorts of problems related to having uppercase letters in an email address, especially when single sign on (SSO) is used to interface with other systems that require only lowercase account names.

If changing this is not supported, where can I make this feature request?

Sure, your admin can reset that. SMTP addresses themselves dont care. Ask your admin to set your email addresses to all lower case, it wont affect your email.
