I have a user that has an old E-Mail address showing up in their outlook 2016 cached contacts list. The subject e-mail address has been deleted by using the 'X' against the subject cached contact. It disappears for a while and comes back. I remember the old version of outlook one was able to view the content of cached contacts. I am using the MFCMAPI but I am unable to locate cached contacts in the data to see if that's the source of the old e-mail address. In the previous versions, one was able to delete it using the utility and close the file again. How can I view the cached content?

    Hi @Edrissa Jarju ,

    Welcome to our fourm!

In order to verify, do you mean you want to delete the suggest contact?
If in this case, go to click File > Options > Mail > Send Messages using the button Empty Auto-Complete List.

If you have cleared the AutoComplete list but still it not working correctly, there may be a problem with a file in your RoamCache folder. Rename the folder to reset AutoComplete. To do this, follow these steps:
Select Start, type in or copy and paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook

Right-click the RoamCache folder, select Rename, and change the folder name to old_RoamCache.
When Outlook restarts, it will create a new RoamCache folder.

    Thank you so much.
I saw the option to empty the autocomplete list but I don't want to get rid of the cached contacts entirely. It would be good to be able to take a look at the list and see how the e-mail address is returning. But I realise I may have to empty the list and start again if I cannot recreate the situation to find the cause.
