What is Microsoft Speech Studio's copyright policy?

Hi,

Myself & some university course-mates are making our graduation film & we're looking to record computer-generated voice-overs using Speech Studio.

In terms of copyright, The text we intend for Speech Studio to read has been written entirely by ourselves. With regards to distribution, it is intended for the film to be submitted to festivals, uploaded online & distributed commercially if the opportunity to do so arises.

We were wondering, if Speech Studio were to be included in the credits section of our film, would it be possible to receive permission to include Speech Studio-generated voice-overs in our film for free?

Many thanks,
Barney

Hi, a similar question has been answered here

You can use audio files generated by Azure text to speech for commercial use provided you are using a valid paid subscription for your azure account. The text passed to your speech resource API and the corresponding response or audio files can be used in your applications based on your business need. All privacy and compliance standards are based on Azure cognitive services compliance offerings

Furthermore, please review Code of Conduct for TTS. Hope this helps.
