Visio and Project Pro 2016 not activating when installed along office 2019 using ODT
Hello,
We have Office 2019 Volume License and Visio Pro 2016 and Project Pro 2016. When installing them using the config file below, Office 2019 activates normally but Visio and Project show the error : This product key is for the volume-licensed version of Microsoft Project/Visio 2016, which isn't currently installed. To use this product key, contact your administrator , however the key is ok because i used it normally on msi installers of 2016 visio and project .

2022-03-01T06:06:46.677+00:00 Hi @Joe ,
I suggest you refer to this support article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/DeployOffice/use-the-office-deployment-tool-to-install-volume-licensed-editions-of-visio-2016As the article said, MAK keys that you use for Windows Installer (MSI) installations of Project and Visio won't work with the Office Deployment Tool. You need a different MAK key to deploy volume licensed versions of Project and Visio with the Office Deployment Tool. To get that MAK key, log into the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) and use the key listed under "C2R-P for use with the Office Deployment Tool."
You should go to Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) and change the MSI key to Click-to-Run key.
Hope the information is helpful.
