OneDrive files missing

I went to my local drive and tons of my files are missing. I checked online, and they are missing there too. No one else has access to my OneDrive.
I did get a notice that I was reaching my space limit, so I am thinking that OneDrive is punishing me since I didn't clean it up fast enough. I have cleaned out Gigabytes on info now. How do I get my other files back. They are important work related files that I NEED.

Any ideas how to get these files restored??

    According to your description, please follow the below article, check your Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac) to see if your files are there, and go to the OneDrive website, check the Recycle bin.
    "Restore deleted files or folders in OneDrive"

    Besides, if you have Microsoft 365 subscription, you can also refer to "Restore your OneDrive", Microsoft 365 subscribers can undo all the actions that occurred on both files and folders within the last 30 days.
