Migrate SharePoint 2013 to SPO and Cascade CMS

My organization currently has 2 SharePoint 2013 farms. One farm contains publicly available content, and the other contains private content. We are planning to migrate content as follows:

  • All content on the public farm will be migrated to our public website, which is hosted on Hannon Hill's Cascade CMS.
  • Some of the content on the private farm will be migrated to our Intranet, which is hosted on Hannon Hill's Cascade CMS.
  • Some of the content on the private farm will be migrated to our existing SharePoint Online environment.

Do organizations typically handle migrations of this nature as one project? Or is it a best practice to manage this via 2 migration projects - one where the destination is SharePoint Online and the other where the destination is Cascade CMS? Are you aware of vendors that have worked with universities on SharePoint migration projects? Thank you.

    @Robin Howard ,

    We suggest you take it as two migration projects, currently, SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) will help us migrate content from on-premises SharePoint sites to Microsoft 365.

    However, Cascade CMS is a third-party platform and we are not able to provide support on any third-party tools. So I would suggest you seek help from third-party suppliers.

    Thanks for your understanding and support.
