I can't see instant changes from others in Sharepoint

Hi there,
I work on share point with a large team and we all have access to update shared files. However for some reason I cannot see changes made by other colleagues. Every time I click onto the newly saved file I can still only see my old version. I really need help with this as it is affecting my work as I cannot see any changes made by others.

    Make sure file you are accessing is published by the other users and is not still checked out by them. If the file is checked out by a user you will not see the changes made in the file unless file is published.

    Welcome to Q&A Forum!

    Please check whether the Check out is enabled in the Document library.

    If enabled, please check if the document is checked out by others.

    WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DOCUMENT IS CHECKED OUT?

    The document is locked to the user. All other users can still access the latest version of the document just before check out in read-only mode. The user who checked out a document can save the changes back to SharePoint, but the changes will not be seen by others until the user checks the document back in or discards the check-out. While the document is checked out, no one else can make any changes to the document or even access any revisions made by the user.
