Microsoft Edge Update

Question

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 and 11 and have installed all available updates from Microsoft.

1. The Edge wasn't updated itself with updates, is that normal?
2. I would like to install latest version of Edge without opening the edge (I know I can check for updates via Help > About). But something more sophisticated or unattended method if possible?
3. I have MUI, installing update in one language will be sufficient or do I have to download updates for all languages?

1. If you mean Edge needs to complete the upgrade by restarting, it is normal. By default, Microsoft Edge automatically updates when you restart your browser. If you don't set specific policies to suppress the updates, Microsoft Edge Update process will run in background and check for updates every once in a while. The next time you restart the browser, it will install and complete the update.
2. So for the second question, I think you must restart Edge to complete the update. There's no way to complete update without opening Edge. For more information about Microsoft Edge update settings, you can refer to this doc.
3. For the MUI different languages update, do you mean Windows updates? I don't know there's different languages updates for Edge. I don't know much about Windows updates. If you mean Windows updates, I suggest that you can ask a new question with only Windows and Windows updates related tags so that there will be related experts to help you.
