Connect new O365 Tenant with existing SSO

Hi!
I'm trying to help my friend to integrate their newly created edu tenant with their existing SSO (Not sure what kind of SSO he's using, but not azure). Is there a demo/docs on how to perform this?
They wants to connect the SSO, so they don't need to create account all over again for the student and teacher, because they already have them though SSO.

Is it SAML based or oAuth/OpenID based? When you say that you are trying to help them integrate the newly created EDU tenant ; do you mean that they already have an on-premise active directory environment (or any other on-premise user store) with an identity provider already where we are trying to integrate Microsoft 365 EDU tenant . In this case you would need to sync your users first to the Microsoft 365 Edu tenant . If you are using Active directory on-premise then you can use Azure AD connect tool to sync the users to the tenant.

2022-03-03T19:42:53.603+00:00 You can also enable Password hash sync for these users and configure Federation if you are using ADFS or Pingfederate automatically though the Azure AD connect custom installation settings wizard which will help in SSO for the users . Azure AD supports SAML as well as oAuth / OpenID connect protocols . Please let us know more about your environment and we can try to help you better. There are a lot of SSO systems that can be used and they may have differences in implementation . If your on-premise environment does not contain a on-premise active directory structure then some of the instructions i suggested may not be applicable to you . Please provide more details as requested and we will continue to help you further on this.
