Unable to delete tiles in Start Menu

Trying to delete the Settings and Microsoft Store. But cannot delete it. Only these three options are there. Could not remove it from here. Both for Settings icon and Microsoft Store. Is there a PS script that could do this. I have checked the group policy to see that did I turn on anything that would be causing the issue, but none. I turned off everything on the start menu GPO.

    Hi @JKFrancis

If you have any other account on the PC try logging from the other account and see if you can unpin these apps from the start menu. If you can remove it from the other account then most probably the user account might be corrupted.

However, if it is not working in other accounts, I would suggest you Restore Default Start Screen Tiles.

    • Open the CMD as admin rights.
-Enter the following command: %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows, which will open the Microsoft Windows App-data folder.
-Scroll down to find these two files, namely, the item-data file and the item-data. bak.
-Select both files to delete, right-click on it and select the Delete option to send it to the Recycle bin.
-Restart your PC or log out and log in again. Now you will see Windows Start Screen reset to default tiles.
-Now re-arrange the tile as you want and new tiles will also be created automatically when you install any apps from Store.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!
