It says " Aw Snap" Something Went Wrong while Displaying this webpage. "

we have tried some solution to fix but none of them works below :

  1. Uninstall /re-install Google chrome
  2. Check the compatibility of google chrome run as Windows 8 comapatibility
  3. Unpublish and Re- Publish Google chrome on Remote Desktop Connection Broker
  4. Download new Google chrome direct from internet
  5. Clear Cache and history
  6. Latest version of google chrome used

    Hello @Homer Sibayan ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft QnA.
I understand that Google Chrome becomes unresponsive after a while and shows you the above mentioned error.

Can you check if the issue is happening with Microsoft Edge browser.

Here are few steps you can try doing to mitigate the issue (apart from the ones you have already mentioned).

    1. Open the page in an Incognito window.
    2. Clear your cookies.
    3. Quit other apps or programs that are running on your PC, and also pause the file downloads, if any.
    4. Uninstall unnecessary extensions from Chrome.
    5. Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and check.
    6. Restart your VM as some programs or applications sometimes may stop a page from loading. Try loading the page after the restart.
    7. Try to run the Chrome Cleanup Tool to find and remove some unwanted software that might be causing the issue. If other sites are opening and only one website is causing trouble then that particular site might be having the issue. Try to reload the site and click on send feedback to report the issue to Google.

Hope this helps. If you are still facing issue with just Chrome browser and not any other browsers, I will request you to check it on the Google community forum.

Feel free to reach back incase of any queries.

    Hi srbhatta-msft

We did not use Microsoft Edge, but it work with IE browser. To clarify this is not a traditional Desktop/PC we use to directly access Google Chrome. We access google chrome via RD Webpage Portal inside VDI infra or RDS terminal. All Application are installed in a centralized Server in the data center. just to clarify, all remote application etc. we access is via Remote Desktops

    now to asnwer the questions:

    1. Open the page in an Incognito window. - Done but still the same issue.
    2. Clear your cookies. - Done but still the same issue.
    3. Quit other apps or programs that are running on your PC, and also pause the file downloads, if any. - Done but still the same issue.
    4. Uninstall unnecessary extensions from Chrome. - Done but still the same issue. it shows blank page
    5. Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and check. Firewall is good but Temporary disbaling AV is not advisable as solutions.
    6. Restart your VM as some programs or applications sometimes may stop a page from loading. Try loading the page after the restart. - Done but still the same issue.
    7. Try to run the Chrome Cleanup Tool to find and remove some unwanted software that might be causing the issue. If other sites are opening and only one website is causing trouble then that particular site might be having the issue. Try to reload the site and click on send feedback to report the issue to Google. - Done but still the same issue.
