Hello.
I'm considering replacing IoT Hub with IoT Central.
I believe that IoT Hub device twins will be replaced by IoT Central properties and IoT Hub direct methods by IoT Central commands.
IoT Hub has messages (one-way communication from cloud to device) in addition to the above.
Does IoT Central have an equivalent to thisIoT Hub messages?
Is there no other way but to use commands instead?

IoT Central also supports "offline commands" which use IoT Hub's cloud-to-device messaging under the hood: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-central/core/concepts-get-connected#sdk-features-and-iot-hub-connectivity

In addition to @Dom , this "offline" option is declared in the device model command property by undocumented Boolean property a durable, see the following example:

Using this command durable property in the device model, the IoT Central will handle the command either by the portal or REST as a cloud-to-device message. Note, that the service-facing endpoint for C2D messaging of the underlying IoT Hub uses the AMQP protocol, so in the case of IoT Central, we can use the REST APIs.
