How to sign into my Azure Virtual Desktop using Azure AD?

I've got an Azure Virtual Desktop running, and I've verified that it works because I can log into it using the Administrator credentials.

I've also assigned my AAD user to the VM, so I thought I could just connect to it using my AAD credentials and that it would work but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I tried pinging the AD Primary domain name, with no success, all 4 packets were lost.

I've obviously done something wrong but I can't for the life of me figure out what it could be, can anyone guide me in the right direction?

    Can you provide more details about the issue, for example how are you connecting to it and what is the error you experience?

    If you have assigned the user to the VM as per here already - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/deploy-azure-ad-joined-vm#assign-user-access-to-host-pools
