SQL Backup file size to Azure Blob bigger

I have a SQL Server running on Azure VM whose backup size to Blob storage account is 10 times bigger than on local disk on that server.
The SQL Server database backup to disk on the same VM is 400MB, but same database when backup from SQL Server to URL Blob storage is about 4.2GB.
Any help will be much appreciated.

There might be many reasons why the file size is bigger in Azure

Did you take any file snapshots?

Did you have file versions?

The file might have used space that fills the table. The quick fix was to add clustered index and a clean index. Can you please validate these items, and confirm if you can identify the root cause?

no snapshot taken

SQL version 12
